Starka’s All-in-One Solar Street Light integrates the solar panel, LiFePO4 battery, MPPT controller and OSRAM LEDs in a single compact unit that installs in minutes.

1. What is an all-in-one solar street light?

An all-in-one solar street light is a compact lighting unit in which the solar panel, LiFePO4 battery, MPPT charge controller and LED luminaire are all built into one body. Because there is no separate battery box, panel structure or long wiring, the light can be mounted directly on a pole or wall with nut-bolts in a short time. Starka’s all-in-one model uses OSRAM LEDs, a BIS-approved panel and a powder-coated aluminium housing that is IP65 tested and rust-proof.

2. What is the difference between an all-in-one and a semi-integrated solar street light?

In an all-in-one solar street light, the solar panel is part of the same unit as the light and battery, so installation is the fastest and simplest. In a semi-integrated light, the battery and controller are inside the luminaire but the panel is mounted separately, which allows a larger panel to be tilted towards the sun for stronger charging. Starka offers both: choose all-in-one for quick, neat installations such as gardens and internal roads, and semi-integrated when you need more output or better charging at a particular site.

3. Which wattages are available in the Starka all-in-one solar street light?

The Starka all-in-one solar street light is available in 9W, 12W, 15W, 18W, 20W, 25W, 30W, 35W, 40W, 50W and 60W models. Each wattage is matched with an appropriately sized solar panel, for example 40Wp for 9W to 15W, 50Wp for 18W, 60Wp for 20W, 75Wp for 25W and 100Wp for 30W. If you need a different backup, brightness or size for a project or tender, Starka can customise the light in its own manufacturing unit.

4. How do I install an all-in-one solar street light?

Remove the product from its packaging carefully and switch on the button provided on the underside of the panel, which activates the light. Fix the light on the pole using the nut-bolts supplied in the box, making sure the solar panel faces south for the best charging. For a GI pole, set the pole in a 2.5 to 3 feet pit with a concrete mix of sand, aggregate and cement plus some stones; for an octagonal pole, prepare a J-bolt foundation in a 3.5 x 3 feet pit 2–3 days in advance and mount the pole straight on it.

5. How many hours of backup does the all-in-one solar street light give?

The Starka all-in-one solar street light is designed for about 12 hours of backup per night using its dimming mode. In the standard programme, the light gives 100% brightness for the first 5 hours after dusk and 50% brightness for the remaining hours, balancing illumination with battery life. The dimming programme can be customised in 2, 3 or 4 steps, and models with a PIR sensor brighten automatically when movement is detected.

6. Which battery and LEDs are used in the all-in-one solar street light?

The light uses a LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) battery with a cycle life of about 2,000 cycles and a BMS with short-circuit protection. OSRAM LEDs provide about 130 lumens per watt, so the light is bright while consuming very little energy. The BIS-approved Jyotitech solar panel has a low degradation rate of about 0.8% per year, and the MPPT charge controller makes sure the battery is charged efficiently every day.

7. Does the all-in-one solar street light have a motion sensor?

Yes, the Starka all-in-one solar street light is available with a PIR (passive infrared) motion sensor. The PIR sensor detects the movement of people or vehicles and increases the light’s brightness when someone is nearby, then returns to the dimmed level when the area is empty. This saves battery energy, extends backup on long winter nights and gives extra security in gardens, compounds and internal roads.

8. What is included in the all-in-one solar street light kit?

The kit includes the all-in-one solar street light with built-in panel, battery and controller, along with the mounting bracket, nut-bolts and every accessory required for installation. Starka makes sure you do not need to buy even a single nut, bolt or insulation tape separately. Poles can also be supplied as per your requirement, including 6 m GI poles and 6 m, 7 m or 9 m octagonal poles with J-bolts.

9. How do I maintain an all-in-one solar street light?

Clean the dust off the solar panel once every three to six months depending on how dusty your area is, as clean panels charge better. Check the green and red indicator on the light about once a month to confirm that charging and operation are normal. The light has a weather-resistant IP65 design, so no other routine maintenance is needed, and Starka offers AMC and spare parts service if you need on-site support.

10. Where can I use an all-in-one solar street light?

All-in-one solar street lights are ideal for streets, internal colony roads, farm houses, resorts, house gardens and yards, temple campuses and staircases. They can be used anywhere you need outdoor lighting without laying cables, provided the light receives proper sunlight during the day. Their compact design and fast installation make them a popular choice for homeowners, housing societies, gram panchayats and institutions.
